High output MWHS with non-staggered flat polepieces single coil pickups made in Korea
Higher output version of the MWVS with non-staggered flat polepieces. They are specially suitable if you use a lot of effects. The MWHS pickups are rich in harmonics and natural sustain. The middle pickup is reverse wound and reverse polarity, so that it cancels the hum as a ‘humbucker’ when used as a set the neck / middle, middle / bridge combination in position 2 & 4 on a traditional 5 way switch.
The guitar strings will vibrate less the nearer they get to the bridge. Less movement mean less voltage created by the pickup and a noticeable drop in volume. To solve it, bridge pickup is slightly overwound to increase the output and balance the set.
